AM Bhave

Mr. Aniruddha M. Bhave started his consultancy in 1982, on the strength of his long standing experience of over 20 years, gained in his tenures at Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (1962-1976) in Space Physics Deptt. and in Homi Bhabha Auditorium of T.I.F.R.; thereafter at Nehru Planetarium Mumbai (1976-1982) as Planetarium Engineer, for which Mr. Bhave had taken Specialised training at Carl Zeiss Germany in 1976.

He undertook yet another special study tour to East and West Germany in 1986. During this tour he attended an International Symposium on Planetariums at Carl Zeiss, Jena, East Germany and presented his paper titled Acoustics and Sound Systems in Planetaria. He also attended Special workshops on Acoustics and Noise Control in Stuttgart, West Germany. Thereafter he undertook an observational study tour around many cities in East and West Germany to study the concert halls for different types of Western Classical Music, Opera houses, Drama theatres, Conference halls, Planeteria, Astronomical Observatories, world's largest Science Museum in Munich; to study and observe developments in the field of Acoustics as well as in the field of Planetarium projectors, Astronomical Telescopes, Science Museums etc.

He has also worked as a Consultant on the panel for C.Z. Instruments, India and their principals Carl Zeiss, Germany, for their clients in India. Mr. Bhave has provided consulting services for Planetarium Project Designs, Infrastructural set up, acoustics, sound systems, Audio-visual/Video supplementary equipments, recording studio set up, erection of planetarium Projection instruments, training to staff for operation and maintenance, methods of composing Sky Shows etc. for many Planetarium projects in India.

Philanthropic Activities

Apart from the professional activities mentioned above, as a social commitment for society at large, Mr. Bhave has also participated and worked for various types of Science Popularizing Activities by giving Radio Talks on AIR Mumbai, Pune, Sangli, Jalgaon and Vividh Bharati. He has given lectures, whole night sky demonstrations in Marathi, Hindi and English for general public as well as for educational community. He has composed and prepared technical documentaries on various technical subjects and Audio-Visual slide shows such as Anuradha space probe of T.I.F.R. for Cosmic Ray Research on Space Flight of Space Lab of NASA; Documentary on Water Supply Project of Municipal Corporation Mumbai etc. He has also composed and produced Sky Shows for Planetaria, which were highly appreciated by scientists as well as public at large.
